Here’s how to apply for a training contract, for intakes in February or August 2019.

If you’re interested in life at Freshfields, you can apply to join us as a trainee. If you’re successful, you’ll be on one of the most sought-after, most flexible training contracts in the legal profession.

This year we’re offering up to 80 two-year training contracts, for intakes in February and August 2019.

You can apply either:

  • directly for a training contract; or
  • via a vacation scheme, if you’re a penultimate-year student.

Apply directly for a training contract

You can apply from 3 October 2016 – 2 January 2017 if you are a law or non-law student in your final year or a graduate.

NB: You are a non-law student even if you have completed the GDL.

Apply from 1 June – 17 July 2017 if you are a law student in your penultimate year, final year or have graduated.

Apply via a vacation scheme

If you’re in your penultimate year at university, you have an alternative option: to apply for a place on a vacation scheme. If you’re successful, you’ll then have the chance to be interviewed for a training contract at the end of the scheme.
